ALBUM FUNDED - THANKS TO YOU! - NOW...LET'S PARTY!

Thanks to you responding so well to our Kickstarter Campaign we now have a fully funded album project. We had faith that it just might ‘fly’ -  so even before we initiated the campaign, we had of course being pursing our music dreams as if they would come true.

Therefore here's where we are: we have recorded the music; added beautiful double bass to it (thank you Ben Somers!), added gorgeous cello undertones on a few tracks (Thank you Andii Gosling!) and it is being mastered as I type by the nonpareil of sound engineering, Josh Clark (Get Real Audio). The hardest work has been done by producer Roger Jackson, who took such care when recording our music -  and he's ensured that it sounds just like our live sound, but with added sprinkles of fabulousness. Well he is the leader of the ‘Fabulous Festival Choir’ (Towersey, Purbeck etc) -  so obviously, everything he does is fabulous! Thank you Roger Jackson!

Our Album Launch Event is on Friday 15th December at St Mary's Guildhall in Lincoln. If you have backed our campaign, and would like to come along, please do book your ticket soon - there are such limited places due to fire regs!

Second Album on its way - we are VERY excited!

Hello everyone

I'm delighted to announce that we are in the process of making final recordings for our NEW and long-awaited second album. This time, the majority of the tracks are self-penned and we have enjoyed a summer of ‘playing them out’. We are delighted that the new music seems to have been met with favourable murmurings (love that word!) and we have been bold enough to ‘book’ the launch event for Friday 15th December in Lincoln. So please do save the date as tickets will be limited (details to follow!)

We have had an utterly amazing summer, playing at Gate to Southwell (July), The Sweet Sunny South Festival (September) and more locally at Nettleham Live, in August. It was simply wonderful to play to such enthusiastic, listening crowds. We must also mention the wonderful Lincolnshire Day of Folk where it's plain to see how much talent there is in our county.

Here are a few pictures of us having a blast (at Sweet Sunny South) and recording, with our incredibly talented friend, Roger Jackson.

From West Sussex to West Scotland - Sunshine Singing Workshops all the way!

We have had an absolute blast recently! April brought Valefest and Singing in the Swiss Alps; May brought ‘Three Days in May’ - the last two wonderful adventures being the fabulous projects of our friend and expert community singing director Roger Jackson. June so far, sent us off to this fantastic place - Arisaig Americana Festival where our friend Mairi kindly switched on hot sunshine in this idyllic spot! Ooch - it was so beautiful we almost didn't make it home! Next up we have the delights of East Anglia Bluegrass festival and Stourton Estates Day (11th June).

We are LIVING THE DREAM and somehow juggling the rest of life alongside.

Here's a picture where we look vaguely awake, which is nothing short of a miracle!

Catch you somewhere on our schedule I hope!

WE LOVE YOU CAISTOR!

What an amazing gig on Friday! We were supported by Mollie Marchant, and Ella Hill and Ella Chappell. These girls are so very talented and we are looking forward to their blossoming success! Go girls!

Thank you to the whole crowd for being so welcoming. What a happy bunch - and almost as sane as we are!

CAISTOR FOLK CLUB GIG ON 9th December CANCELLED DUE TO ILLNESS

We're really sorry that we can't do tonight's gig - Sue is ill with that thing that is coming round to haunt us all like the ghost of Christmas past! But there is a great night to be had still at Caistor Heritage Centre:

Here is a message from the organiser:

Sadly, the Rye Sisters have had to postpone their concert at the Arts and Heritage Centre tonight due to covid. We will rearrange the concert.

Please contact the centre for refunds if you wish.

HOWEVER the concert will still go ahead! Local singer MAURA COOK has kindly offered to step in. She will still also be supported by young local talent ELLA HILL.

Here's to a great night!
